Welcome To Shady Rest.  We hope you have a fun filled vacation while staying at the beach house and find the accommodations comfortable. Please note there is additional parking on Woodland St accessible through the back fence.

• No smoking or vaping within the house please,

• The house is accessed by an electronic lock on the side entry door.  Code will be given when you place your deposit. Press the lock icon button on the lock to lock the door when leaving.  You can hear it engage.  If an incorrect code is entered, the lock will flash red and you must wait approximately 10 seconds before reentering the code.

​

•  Combination fence locks use the same code.  Dial the code and pull down the lock body to unlock. 

​

• Absolutely no diving allowed in pool.  Stresses created from diving can damage the pool liner. Enter the pool by the steps on the side.  Pool service comes daily except Sunday to clean.

​

• Trash pickup is early Monday.  Please roll bins to the road Sunday night.  The green bin is for general trash; blue is for all recyclables (mixing allowed).

​

• The front porch has a separate heat/ AC unit.  There is a remote thermostat beside the door going into the den.  Please keep this door closed when the unit is not in operation.

​

• Please return all pillows and other items to the places you found them upon arrival.

​

• If you chose to have linens supplied, place them all in the tub or shower.  It is not necessary to strip the beds.

​

• The property manager is Caroline Beck (843.213.8950).  She provides the cleaning service and linens.

​

• Please remove all items you bought with you including food and beverages.

​

• Cleaning supplies are located in the kitchen closet beside the washer dryer and also under the bathroom sinks. If you have chosen to clean the house yourself: vacuum, dust, mop, clean appliances, wipe countertops, clean bathrooms.

• Pets are allowed for an additional $50 per week however if you use the cleaning service the fee will be waved.  Renters are responsible to pick up and dispose of all pet waste.

​

• Any crewman, rival or picaroon may choose to invoke temporary protection and brought before the captain to negotiate without being attacked or shanghaied until the parley is complete as set forth by Morgan and Bartholomew.
